Research Scientist / Sr Research Scientist - Small Molecule

Job Summary
Lead analytical method development for small molecule projects and serve as on-site SME for instrumentation and techniques (HPLC, GC, MS, LC/MS, and related detectors). Oversee complex analytical development, transfer client-provided methods, and mentor senior staff. Act as technical project leader, manage client communications, review data and reports, and contribute to SOPs and quality systems. Requires a strong small molecule background, ability to design validation experiments, and capability to interact with clients on technical and regulatory issues. Expected to contribute to business development through technical writing, marketing materials, posters, and conference presentations; ensure compliance with GMP/GLP while delivering robust analytical solutions. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project-management skills are essential, as is the ability to work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a lab science (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biology, Material Science) or equivalent; 8-10+ years of related experience OR Master's degree with 6-8+ years OR PhD with 4-6+ years; strong background in small molecule analytics; proficiency with HPLC, GC, MS, and related separation/analytical techniques; ability to lead client discussions and write technical documents; experience with GMP/GLP and regulatory guidelines; ability to develop and transfer analytical methods; capability to mentor staff and provide technical leadership; strong communication and project-management skills; ability to function as SME for instrumentation/techniques; willingness to collaborate across teams and with clients; experience in SOPs and quality systems.
