Job Summary
Research Scientist / Senior Research Scientist – Large Molecule role overseeing analytical development and specialty technologies projects. Lead the design and validation of analytical methods, act as on-site SME for instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, LC/MS, GC/MS) and detection techniques (UV, FL, CAD, ELSD, IC). Provide technical and regulatory guidance to internal teams and clients, mentor senior staff, and serve as project lead across multiple programs. Responsibilities include evaluating options for robust method transfer, preparing protocols and reports, supporting business development and client communications, developing SOPs and quality systems, and ensuring GMP/GLP compliance. Required background includes a strong foundation in chemistry/separation science, experience with a range of analytical techniques, excellent writing and presentation skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative, multi-project environment. Shift: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm EST.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in lab sciences (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Material Science, Immunology, Biology, Molecular Biology) or related field
- 8-10+ years relevant experience OR Masters degree with 6-8+ years OR PhD with 4-6+ years
- Solid understanding of general chemistry and separation science
- Experience with HPLC, ELISA, GC, MS, UV-Vis; knowledge of ICH, USP, FDA guidelines
- Excellent written and oral communication; ability to prepare reports and SOPs
- Ability to work collaboratively and lead multiple projects
- Experience with GMP/GLP compliance
- Ability to mentor junior staff
- Strong problem-solving and project-management skills
- Experience interpreting data and regulatory documents
- Ability to travel as needed
