Job Summary
The Research Scientist II in Infectious Disease Epidemiology/Health Services Research will design and implement significant health services and epidemiology-related research projects, leading to the development of a research portfolio in infectious disease healthcare delivery and outcomes. Responsibilities include securing external funding through grants, publishing research findings, and mentoring staff. The position requires a PhD or equivalent degree, extensive experience in infectious disease research, and a successful track record in securing grant funding.
Required Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in Epidemiology, Health Services Research, or related discipline OR an MD/DO with an additional advanced research degree
- Minimum of seven (7) years of post-doctoral research experience
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals
- Successful track record of extramural grant funding as Principal Investigator
- Ability to design and lead simultaneous original research studies
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in infectious disease research
- Research emphasis on HIV or other viruses
- Experience in health system research setting
Additional Requirements
- Must provide documentation of Covid vaccine prior to October 1, 2023
- Must provide documentation for the influenza vaccine as a condition of employment
- External hires must pass a background check and drug screening
