Job Summary
Research Scientist focused on gene editing in oncology at ChristianaCare Gene Editing Institute. Conduct laboratory-based investigations into novel therapeutics for solid tumors, designing and executing in vitro and in vivo experiments to evaluate candidate drugs, establish assay systems, and generate impactful datasets for oncology drug discovery. Involves preclinical development support, mechanisms-of-action analyses, and applying CRISPR technologies to translate research into clinical practice, with emphasis on bench work and project management to drive pipeline programs.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree with 4-5 years’ experience in molecular biology, biotechnology, cell biology, or a closely related field
- PhD with 0-4 years’ experience preferred
- At least two first-author publications in reputable journals are required
- Experience with CRISPR research is a plus, but familiarity with molecular biology and cell techniques is essential
- Strong project management skills
