Job Summary
Execute foundational experimental models and manage benchtop, in vitro, and in vivo research to analyze clinical and pre-clinical biological endpoints. Design and lead laboratory benchwork and preclinical in vivo experiments evaluating cellular, tissue, and immunological responses to pulsed electric fields. Build experimental pipelines for novel therapies, oversee personnel, and generate intellectual property while maintaining command of relevant literature. Support publication and scientific meeting content, including consulting on external research projects and performing biological analyses. This role requires an advanced degree with 4+ years of research experience in biology or biomedical engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MS or higher) in biological sciences or biomedical engineering
- Minimum of 4 years' of experience in research activities including biology, imaging, or cellular analysis
- Experience in various in vitro and in vivo evaluation and imaging and quantification methodologies
- Experience with ELISA
- Experience with fluorescent microscopy
- Experience with flow cytometry
- Experience with pulsed electric field cell and tissue response
- Some local or regional travel (30%)
- Handling of potentially hazardous chemicals and hazardous waste
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally
