Job Summary
Research Scientist focused on pregnancy safety studies within Real-World Science, Epidemiology and Scientific Affairs. Independently manage projects from design through delivery, supervise junior staff, and provide scientific consultation to clients in the pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device sectors. Design and implement de novo data collection studies (retrospective, prospective, and/or cross-sectional) for pregnancy safety, supervise study protocols and reports, review statistical analysis plans, and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables. Lead client interactions, contribute to thought leadership and publications, oversee budgets and timelines, participate in proposals, and mentor staff. Travel nationally and internationally as part of project work. Requires PhD in epidemiology or MSc with 5-7 years of relevant experience, strong quantitative methods expertise in real-world evidence, and proficiency in SAS/Stata/R; robust communication and leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in epidemiology or a closely related field, or MSc with at least 5-7 years of relevant experience
- Experience with peri- or post-approval late phase interventional studies and pregnancy/lactation studies is preferred
- Strong experience in quantitative methods in real-world evidence and health services research
- Proficiency with MS Office; ability to read and understand SAS/STATA output; working knowledge of data analysis software (e.g., SAS, Stata, R) is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Leadership and mentoring experience
