Job Summary

Design survey questions and qualitative interview guides to assess implementation contexts for the ADUNU rheumatic heart disease program. Lead methodological design for data collection, process qualitative and quantitative analyses, and author research findings for publication. Manage IRB protocols, maintain accurate study records, and prepare technical reports for funders while collaborating with local teams in Uganda and the US.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Epidemiology or a related field
  • Four years of relevant experience in qualitative data collection and analysis
  • Formal training in quantitative data collection and analysis
  • Travel to low-resource settings (e.g. Uganda) required 1-2x per year
  • Travel within US required (1-2x per year)
  • Periodically available for phone calls/meetings in the early morning to accommodate time differences with collaborators across Europe, Africa and Australia
  • Deadline-driven environment, occasionally requiring extended hours

Desired Qualifications

  • Training or experience in implementation science
  • Health economics research
  • Familiarity with UW systems such as Zipline (IRB) and REDCap
  • Strong communication skills (oral, writing, presentations)
  • Skilled in using Microsoft office and Canva
  • Master's degree in public health plus 2 years of experience
  • Doctoral Degree in Public Policy, Epidemiology or related field
  • Experience in qualitative data collection and analysis
  • Formal training in quantitative data collection and analysis
