Job Summary

Collaborate with academic and biopharma partners to deliver high-quality research publications using Caris' Multiomic database. Lead assigned research projects from conception to publication, designing translational research ideas and applying expertise in cancer biology, molecular genetics, and data science to ensure robust methodology. Draft manuscripts, abstracts, and presentations while engaging key opinion leaders and stakeholders to shape high-impact findings. Stay current with emerging clinical oncology literature and share progress with the medical affairs team. Requires a Ph.D. in computational biology or related field, proficiency in Python and R, and two to five years of experience in clinical and translational research. Involves 20% travel and potential weekend/holiday coverage for urgent requests.

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in computational biology, statistics, bioinformatics, cancer biology, biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology or biostatistics or equivalent training and experience
  • Proficient with statistics
  • Familiarity with statistical software (Python and R)
  • Two to five years' experience in clinical and translational research using NextGen sequencing and clinical data
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook
  • General working knowledge of Internet for business use
  • Must possess ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
  • Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use standard office equipment
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment process, which includes criminal background check, drug screening, credit check (applicable for certain positions) and reference verification
  • Must be available for weekends/holidays
  • Must be able to travel 20%

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with targeted and immune therapies in cancer treatment
  • Strong record of translational or clinical oncology research, publications in reputable journals
  • Previous research experience in the molecular diagnostic field of oncology
  • Strong background in biostatistics or data science
  • Strong attention to detail, well-organized
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple projects and to meet strict deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective cross-functional relationships with scientists, clinicians, and external collaborators
  • Skilled at facilitating scientific discussions and aligning stakeholders around shared objectives
  • Proven ability to coordinate activities across multiple teams and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
