Job Summary
Contribute to the direction of a small team by creating mathematically principled solutions to challenging information science problems and prototyping state-of-the-art algorithms in an agile environment. Implement high-performance software spanning tactical systems to web applications, while using high-fidelity modeling, simulation environments, and flexible compute clusters to quantify technology benefits. Engage with customers to ensure successful outcomes for mission-critical needs and help colleagues and customers understand advanced technology concepts.
Required Qualifications
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Applied or Computational Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Controls and Dynamical Systems, Aerospace Engineering, Statistics and Probability, or a related field
- demonstrated experience in Applied Mathematics: differential equations, linear algebra, numerical analysis, and continuous or discrete optimization
- demonstrated experience in Engineering: controls, estimation theory, digital signal processing, and machine learning
- demonstrated experience in Scientific Computing: software design, algorithm implementation, and software analysis, testing, and optimization
- demonstrated experience in Probability: statistics and random processes
- effective written and verbal communication skills
- demonstrated ability to convey salient details about advanced technology in a compelling manner to both experts and non-experts alike
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance
