Job Summary
Procure and develop multimodal data acquisition protocols, while designing, applying, and refining analytic approaches for multimodal brain and body imaging datasets. Prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication and lead grant applications as principal and co-investigator. Provide supervision and mentoring to junior research staff, including research assistants and post-doctoral fellows. Oversee strategic planning for team research databases and infrastructure, and maintain collaborative relationships with scientific peers. This exempt, full-time hybrid position requires a minimum of four days per week in the NYC headquarters office. The salary range is $110,000 - $130,000 USD annually.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in electrical engineering, bioengineering, computer science, biophysics, applied mathematics, or neuroscience
- two years or more of postdoctoral training in one or more measurement modalities for brain function
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis and data science fundamentals
- 5+ years of experience in at least one scientific programming language (e.g., Python/R, Matlab) and related toolboxes or frameworks (e.g., Tidyverse, Scipy, Sklearn, Polars, Pytorch)
- 5+ years of combined experience and education in the collection and/or analysis of mental health-related data modalities
- 2+ years of supervising experience by mentoring predoctoral trainees
- NIH-eligible to serve as a Principal Investigator on grant submissions
- demonstrable track record of conducting experiments, writing analyses, and communicating results through scientific posters, presentations, and papers
- strong and qualified researcher in signal processing, image analysis, and software development
- outstanding academic and research background in a disciplinary area relevant to the Child Mind Institute
