Job Summary
Lead and manage the Applied Health Research Question (AHRQ) portfolio within ICES’ Data and Analytic Services (DAS) team. Responsibilities include coordinating with Knowledge Users and Staff Scientist, guiding project initiation, monitoring timelines and budgets, managing communications across internal/external partners, developing study protocols, assisting with submissions and data collection methodologies, producing technical reports and publications, and disseminating findings to local decision-makers across Ontario. Requires a Master’s degree in health sciences, at least 2 years of related experience, strong project management and communication skills, and the ability to work under remote-flex Ontario arrangements; salary is $65,000–$75,000 annually. Security clearance may be required and Ontario residency is expected under the remote-flex model.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in health sciences discipline such as Epidemiology, Health Sciences or a related field
- Knowledge gained through 2 years of related experience
- Experience in managing clinical, epidemiological and/or health services research projects and/or experience in health planning and decision support
- Working knowledge of common research and data presentation methodologies and primary data collection and management methodologies
- Good working knowledge of the concepts of health services research (implied in responsibilities)
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects within tight timelines
- Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft 365 software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and databases
- PMP Certification an asset but not required
