Job Summary
Design and execute preclinical studies using established and novel glioma models, conducting both in vitro and in vivo experiments. Plan, organize, and monitor daily project protocols while applying Good Laboratory Practice standards to ensure adherence to study timelines and objectives. Contribute to the development of preclinical trial plans, including experimental design, methodology, and outcome measures. Supervise and mentor junior laboratory staff to foster scientific rigor and professional growth. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to advance preclinical research projects and critically evaluate emerging scientific literature to integrate findings into ongoing efforts. Lead the preparation and submission of abstracts and peer-reviewed manuscripts, assist in grant proposal development, and deliver research presentations at internal, institutional, and national conferences.
Required Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (PhD) or equivalent in a relevant field of endeavor
- Laboratory or clinical research at the post-baccalaureate level with an interest in a faculty member's line of study
Desired Qualifications
- Experience writing research reports concerning own work and familiarity with a biomedical discipline
