Job Summary
CoStar Group is seeking a Research Photographer in Stuttgart (and Munich) on a 2-year fixed-term contract to build an in-depth understanding of commercial real estate in assigned German markets. Responsibilities include on-site inspections to identify and photograph commercial properties, update CoStar databases with new imagery and property attributes, collect building data and tenant information, and photograph both exterior and interior spaces. You will work with state-of-the-art equipment (including drone where applicable), perform post-processing with the Adobe suite, create basic footprint and rooftop geocoding, and coordinate with the Photography Manager. The role requires traveling across Germany for field-related projects, professional communication with property managers and clients, and adherence to CoStar safety standards. A portfolio of real estate/architectural photography is required with applications. The position is based in Germany and described in both English and German materials.
Required Qualifications
- A full local driving license (clean record preferred) is essential
- Reading/writing proficiency in English and German.
- Technical proficiency in digital photography and post processing via the use of the Adobe suite of products; Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro.
- Educated to degree level of which a significant component should be related to photography.
- A willingness to travel to work across the country on special field related projects.
- Knowledge of Mac OS, Microsoft Office, and Internet applications.
- An existing portfolio of property exterior and interiors imagery.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and organizational skills.
- Flexible, with the ability to positively adopt new processes.
- have hands-on drone experience and hold a valid European A2 drone license
- The ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts such as commercial real estate terminology and mapping software.
- Ability to work on own initiative and follow CoStar protocols remotely without supervision.
- Comfortable with working alone with daily support via phone and email
