Job Summary
Greet and check-in research subjects through Microsoft Teams, Nextgen, MDI, and Realtime while verifying demographics and updating profiles in all PM systems. Complete appointment reminder calls, create and arrange transportation for subjects, and coordinate superbills. Confirm eligibility for injections by checking drug coverage, copay assistance, and insurance benefits across multiple platforms. Order lunch, supplies, and other items as needed, while assisting with chart organization, appointment scheduling, and other duties as assigned. This role supports the clinical expertise of 26 world-renowned physicians at Retina Consultants of Texas, the largest retina-only ophthalmology practice in the United States.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to travel to various clinics
- Must be available for clinic hours of Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30am-6:30pm
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times
- Ability to competently use Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and appropriate practice management software
- Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Ability to operate office equipment
- Ability to effectively communicate and present information
- Ability to manage time, prioritize, and multitask
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply clinic policies and procedures
- Ability to identify problems, recommend solutions, organize and analyze information
Desired Qualifications
- Medical office experience preferred
