Job Summary
Collect farm business account data from invoices, cheque books, and bank statements to produce fully balanced electronic accounts annually. Interview farmers to gather information on business management, land use, and environmental activities, then travel to farms and offices throughout your assigned region to complete these tasks. Build strong relationships while contributing to industry research and benchmarking. Opportunities exist to mentor new staff, support farm recruitment, and create regional sector reports. This field-based role supports the Farm Business Survey, a national study on the financial position of farmers in England, within Genus PLC's global agricultural biotechnology mission.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite of programs including Excel and Word
- Good general knowledge and understanding of British Agriculture
- Good knowledge of farm business management
- Possess a full and valid driving license
