Job Summary
Research Lab Tech I at Mass General Brigham (MGH) supports the Rivera laboratory in the MGH Pathology Department and MGH Cancer Center, affiliated with the Broad Institute. Responsibilities include maintaining laboratory equipment, preparing samples, conducting experiments (common assays include western blotting, qPCR, cloning, RNA/DNA isolation, genomic assays such as ChIP-seq and RNA-seq), recording and analyzing data, and assisting in data interpretation and presentation. Will set up experiments, contribute to hypothesis generation and experimental design, and work with postdoctoral fellows on one or more projects. Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field is required; applicants completing their degree have a grace period to provide degree equivalency. Onsite work at 149 Thirteenth Street, Building 149, Charlestown, MA; 40 hours/week; day shift.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience: Laboratory experience is preferred
- Field of Study/Additional Specialized Training: Biology or a related field is required
