Job Summary

Conduct research on future warfare dynamics using modeling, simulation, and archival analysis of space weapons and People's Liberation Army trends. Develop web-based wargame tools and prepare materials for simulations involving US and allied participants. Provide administrative support and engage in discussions with experts on military decision-making. Assist with Hudson Institute public events and intern-specific gatherings. Requires a minimum of 20 hours per week onsite in Washington, DC. Includes a $3,000 stipend.

Required Qualifications

  • Recent graduates or current students working towards a degree in security studies, defense studies, computer science, astrophysics, aerospace engineering, or a related field
  • Demonstrated interest in U.S. security and defense strategy
  • Ability to work independently, manage time wisely, and meet deadlines
  • Detail-focused, reliable, professional, and possess strong research, writing, editing, and analysis skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
  • Intent to work in-person (Remote work is not an option)
