Job Summary
Research Intern for Riot Singapore Efficiency team focusing on Generative AI for creative pipelines in games. Role targets PhD or Master’s candidates in CS/ML/Stats with strong ML theory and hands-on experience in PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX. Responsibilities include investigating and prototyping advanced generative models for creative workflows, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and sharing results via demos, docs, or technical writeups. Preferred background includes multimodal modeling, diffusion-based frameworks, and publications in ML/AI/CG venues. Perks include mentorship and access to internal tools and compute; location is Singapore (Central Singapore) with in-person work. Must be able to work legally in Singapore without sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field.
- Strong theoretical background in machine learning and generative modeling.
- Hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
- Familiarity with models such as diffusion and score-based generative models, flow matching, GANs, VAEs, and Transformers.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with multimodal modeling, controllable generation, or diffusion-based frameworks.
- Interest in games, digital creativity tools, or player-facing applications.
- Publications or work in submission at top ML/AI/CV/CG conferences (NeurIPS, ICLR, CVPR, ICML, SIGGRAPH).
- Mentorship from senior researchers and engineers.
- Access to internal tools, datasets and compute for experimentation.
