Research Fellow – Tissue Acquisition & Biobanking

The Research Fellow – Tissue Acquisition & Biobanking leads Cabrini Health’s program for acquiring, processing, documenting, and biobanking human tissue and blood samples from routine surgical and pathology procedures. Responsibilities include establishing and overseeing the biospecimen workflow, ensuring ethical and approved-protocol compliance, coordinating with surgeons, pathology, and Biobanking Victoria or other facilities for long-term storage, and developing SOPs. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant biomedical field (postgraduate qualification in research management or biobanking is desirable), significant experience in biobanking or biospecimen management, and a track record of leading operational programs or research teams. The position is full-time on a 12-month fixed term basis, located in Malvern, Australia. Salary packaging and a range of employee benefits are offered.
