Job Summary
Research Fellow to design and synthesize new organo photocatalysts for sustainable molecular transformations; investigate reaction mechanisms and develop photocatalytic molecular transformations. Daily experiments and data analysis; oversee the project team; submit weekly reports; give oral presentations in group meetings; summarize the project for publications (one or two papers per year); assist in planning and writing future funding proposals.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry
- At least 5 years’ experience in synthetic organic chemistry as graduate and/or postdoctoral fellow in advanced institutions
- Analytical skills in NMR, mass spec, IR, UV-vis, potentiostat, etc.
- Skills in handling of air-sensitive materials and transient species in synthetic photochemistry
