Job Summary
Research Fellow role within CHASM at the University of Birmingham, focusing on original research in financial security, wellbeing and inclusion, contributing to research, impact and administration activities, including managing research programs, developing funding bids, publishing, presenting at conferences, supervising PhD students, and engaging in policy and knowledge-transfer activities. The post-holder will lead research efforts, contribute to CHASM’s strategic aims, and participate in equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives while representing the school on committees and in knowledge transfer initiatives. The role requires a higher degree relevant to the research area (PhD) or equivalent qualifications and a growing national and international reputation through research output and impact.
Required Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent qualifications
- Extensive research experience and scholarship within subject area
- Experience in planning, undertaking and managing research to deliver high quality results
- Experience of knowledge transfer and enterprise
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a research team
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Experience championing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in own work area
