Job Summary
Research Fellow focused on physics-informed data-driven control and AI methods for safe AI in the biopharmaceutical manufacturing sector. Develop mathematical models and advanced algorithms for modelling biopharmaceutical processes with emphasis on AI safety; collaborate with Dr. Leonardo Stella, Dr. Mirco Giacobbe, and industrial partners AstraZeneca/Cambridge UK; publish conference/journal work; supervise students and provide guidance to PhD researchers; contribute to bids for research funding; disseminate findings through conferences and academic publications; engage in enterprise, business development, and public engagement activities as part of the project; promote equality and inclusion within the research environment.
Required Qualifications
- First degree in area of specialism
- higher degree relevant to control theory, formal verification, dynamical systems, stochastic analysis, statistics or equivalent qualifications
- Proven ability to publish in top-tier conferences and journals in machine learning, automatic control, bioinformatics
- Experience presenting research findings at seminars and conferences
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly
- Proficiency in programming, with expertise of machine learning software and formal verification platforms
- Ability to assess resource requirements and use resources effectively
- Understanding of and ability to contribute to broader management/administration processes
- Contribute to planning and organising the research programme and/or specific research project
- Coordinate own work with others to avoid conflict or duplication of effort
- Knowledge of Equality Act 2010 and promoting equality and inclusion
