Job Summary
Conduct a mentored research project to develop novel techniques for ophthalmic treatments by designing and performing in vitro and in vivo experiments using mouse models, retinal cell systems, and molecular biology assays. Analyze molecular, histological, imaging, and genomic data while maintaining organized experimental records and protocols. Review literature in retinal degeneration and gene therapy, then present findings at lab meetings, seminars, and conferences. Contribute to manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and grant materials, including attendance at ARVO meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (MD or PhD)
- Possible lifting of 10 to 20 lbs.
