Research Fellow - Neurology - Cousin lab

Develop and characterize patient-derived and engineered disease models, including iPSCs, organoids, and isogenic controls. Design and execute molecular, cellular, and functional genomics assays to define variant effects and disease mechanisms. Develop and evaluate RNA-targeted and gene-editing therapeutic strategies, including ASO, siRNA, and CRISPR platforms. Integrate sequencing data and functional readouts to prioritize treatment approaches and coordinate with clinicians and external partners. Prepare figures, manuscripts, and grant applications while mentoring junior team members. Publish first-author manuscripts and present at national meetings within the Mayo Clinic rare disease therapeutics program.
