Conduct clinical- or laboratory-based research under the supervision of a principal investigator, with the goal of becoming competitive for national research grants. Train in the research program while demonstrating potential through peer-reviewed publications. Upon background check and CCATS Executive Committee approval, directly contact patients or research subjects relating to the original research program. Proof of English proficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars and other sponsored individuals. This temporary position provides training and education within the Mayo Clinic Life Sciences department.
