Research Fellow (Biomedical Optics)

Job Summary
Design and advance biomedical optics research projects, conducting experiments for diagnostic and spectroscopic analysis of biological samples (cells, tissues, organoids, or in vivo models) and developing bioimaging instrumentation. Collaborate with PIs, mentor students and collaborators, publish results in international journals, draft reports and proposals, and ensure biosafety and ethical compliance. Proficiency in programming (C++, MATLAB, Python, LabVIEW) and optical instrumentation ( Zemax, TracePro, Virtual Lab, OSLO, ImageJ) is highly desirable. Strong written and spoken communication skills and a track record of publication are advantageous. The role is based at NTU Singapore with in-person duties at the NTU Main Campus in Singapore.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics or a similar discipline with optics, spectroscopy and instrumentation background
