Job Summary
Contribute creative ideas to client communications campaigns and implement strategies that blend channels to fulfill objectives. Draft concept notes for paid media, stakeholder events, and press engagements while diving into complex policy issues to create bitesize messages. Craft content across paid, owned, shared, and earned channels, manage journalist and stakeholder databases, and collaborate with policy and creative colleagues on briefings. Monitor workflows, draft monthly performance reports, and analyze metrics to recommend tactical changes. Support the Rud Pedersen Brussels brand marketing strategy. This six-month paid internship in our growing Brussels office requires a degree in political science, international relations, or communications with strong English mastery and an affinity for the written word.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant degree (e.g. Political Science/International Relations/Law/Political Communications/Marketing Communications/Languages & Linguistics)
- Passion the EU affairs field and a clear understanding of the EU policymaking process
- Affinity for the written word and understand the importance of communication in achieving your goals
- Mother-tongue equivalent mastery of English
- Strategic mind and believe that all actions should be underpinned by specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound objectives
Desired Qualifications
- Experience managing communications channels a plus
- Natural curiosity to know how communication outputs translate into outcomes for the client
- Press and/or social media savvy and you are across the Brussels news agenda and/or latest social media trends
- Take energy from the creative process of ideation, and you don't get discouraged when your ideas are challenged
