Job Summary
Software engineer role within the Future Mobility Solutions research program to develop, test, and fine-tune software for autonomous vehicles and robotics. Responsibilities include software development in C++ and Python on Linux, ROS/ROS2-based system integration, and implementing perception and navigation capabilities. Experience with open-source platforms such as Autoware or Apollo is beneficial. The candidate will process sensor data (LIDAR and cameras), conduct outdoor vehicle trials, collaborate on improving system performance, and contribute to AV safety assessment methodologies along with producing technical reports, white papers, and presentations.
Required Qualifications
- Background in robotics and automation
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Automation, or a related field
- Proficient in C++, Python, and Linux systems
- Familiar with ROS or ROS2 environments
