Job Summary

Research Engineer – Aero-Thermal Sciences at GE Vernova focusing on turbomachinery aerodynamics/heat transfer and/or combustion technology under R&D programs. Develop aerothermal/thermal-management solutions for GE Vernova products, mature concepts across TRLs, interpret analysis results, deliver technical projects on schedule and within budget, conduct Aerodynamics (steady and unsteady) analyses for stationary and rotating components, collaborate with GE Vernova Advanced Research teams, and apply CFD tools and programming/scripting skills. Requires strong fundamentals in aerodynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and combustion, experience with CFD and turbomachinery equipment, and excellent communication in a collaborative, innovative environment.

Required Qualifications

  • M.Tech. in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering/Applied Mechanics specializing in Aerodynamics/Heat Transfer/Thermal Management/Combustion with minimum 6 years of experience
  • PhD in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering/Applied Mechanics specializing in Aerodynamics/Heat Transfer/Thermal Management/Combustion with minimum 3 years of experience
  • Demonstrated fundamental knowledge in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), aero-thermal sciences, combustion
  • Solid understanding of thermodynamics/heat transfer and/or combustion
  • Experience with commercial software (FLUENT, CFX) or software developed at universities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Innovation mindset with a passion for learning
