Research & Development Technologist

Job Summary
The R&D Technologist will support the development and optimization of molecular diagnostic assays, perform routine laboratory experiments, execute established protocols for nucleic acid extraction and library preparation, and assist in assay verification and validation studies. This role requires hands-on laboratory experience, a solid understanding of molecular biology techniques, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and good communication abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, or a related scientific discipline
- >1–2 years of hands-on laboratory experience (industry, academic, or internship experience acceptable)
- Basic understanding of molecular biology techniques such as PCR, qPCR, and DNA/RNA extraction
- Ability to follow detailed protocols and standard operating procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced laboratory environment
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in a research, clinical, or diagnostic laboratory
- Experience with NGS library prep and sequencing workflows
- Experience working in a regulated or quality-controlled environment
- Experience supporting assay development or validation studies
