Research & Development Engineer

Job Summary
The Research & Development Engineer will create product and tooling drawings, develop and present product concepts, and provide technical support to Sales and Marketing. Responsibilities also include designing and developing new products from concept to design freeze, managing projects, ensuring compliance with Quality and Safety standards, and driving continuous improvement with Lean tools. The role requires mentoring junior engineers, collaborating with various teams, and supporting manufacturing validations and staff training.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science (Mechanical, Biomedical, Manufacturing, Automation, or related field)
- 2–3 years’ experience in the medical device industry preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CAD systems (ideally Solid Edge)
- Knowledge of extrusion-based catheter assemblies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
