Job Summary

Conduct structured virtual coaching interventions for caregivers of cancer patients, delivering education, skills training, and emotional support to build self-efficacy and coping strategies. Navigate healthcare system complexities for caregivers while educating them on symptom management and communication with care teams. Maintain accurate documentation of interactions and screen potential participants for the ASCO-funded research project. Work remotely as a per diem staff member, receiving close supervision from oncology and mental health teams. Submit a cover letter outlining interest in the position alongside your application.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Public/Community Health
  • Bachelor's Degree Psychology
  • Bachelor's Degree Clinical Social Work
  • Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study
  • 5 or more years of experience in community health (in lieu of bachelor's degree)

Desired Qualifications

  • Community Health Worker [CHW-Massachusetts License]
  • Oncology, behavioral health, community health, or related field experience, preferably in a clinical setting
  • 1-2 years of experience in the preferred fields
  • Strong knowledge of the cancer care experience, behavioral health, and patient/caregiver advocacy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across multiple disciplines and experiences
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and data management software
  • Experience with or interest in learning about clinical research
