Job Summary
Oversee externally-sponsored research collaborations within assigned therapeutic areas, managing portfolios of studies and acting as Study Manager for high-priority initiatives. Lead due diligence activities, facilitate agreement and budget development, and drive contract negotiations with legal. Manage stakeholder communications with external collaborators, principal investigators, and government agencies while ensuring compliance with GCP, ICH, and global healthcare laws. Monitor study progress, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions to ensure projects deliver on time, within scope, and on budget. Support continuous improvement of operational processes and mentor study managers and subject matter experts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 7+ years of experience
- Applicable pharmaceutical industry experience
- Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practices, monitoring, clinical, and regulatory operations
- Demonstrated project management/leadership experience
- Experience with vendor oversight
- Ability to evaluate, interpret, and present complex issues and data to support risk
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be fluent in English
- Effective decision-maker, analytical, and solution-oriented
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with the use of AI
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree, advanced education, and/or training/experience preferred
- Experience in developing and managing contracts
- Demonstrated effectiveness in working in a multidisciplinary, matrix team situation
- Demonstrated ability to manage change
- Project Management (PMP) certification
- Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
- Managing clinical studies in a global environment highly desirable
