Job Summary
Design recombinant protein expression strategies and perform cloning, vector reformatting, and purification using mammalian and bacterial systems. Characterize protein purity, integrity, and function via SDS-PAGE, SEC, and biophysical methods while optimizing workflows for yield and throughput. Operate high-throughput automated liquid handling systems and maintain cell lines, strain inventories, and laboratory infrastructure. Analyze experimental data, maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align priorities and deliver results.
Required Qualifications
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- Solid foundational experience with molecular biology techniques, including PCR, cloning, and vector construction
- Practical experience in recombinant protein expression and purification across multiple host systems, specifically bacterial and mammalian cells
- Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to balance and manage multiple experimental workflows simultaneously
- An approachable, supportive attitude with a strong commitment to a seamless, ego-free team dynamic that prioritizes collective success
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a life science research environment
- Experience with Benchling for documenting laboratory results and storing data
