Job Summary
Execute in vivo studies using preclinical mouse models of inflammation, immunology, and related disease areas. Perform rodent handling, restraint, and dosing via PO, IV, IP, and SQ routes. Conduct body weight, food consumption, clinical observations, and animal health assessments. Perform in-life and terminal blood collection, including tail vein, submandibular, retro-orbital, and cardiac collection. Support euthanasia, necropsy, tissue/fluid collection, and sample processing for ex vivo analysis. Assist with study setup, maintenance, takedown, and dose formulation. Operate and maintain laboratory and in vivo study equipment. Accurately document experimental procedures, observations, and results while following animal welfare, safety, and regulatory procedures. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate study progress. Requires 2+ years of laboratory animal research experience and willingness to provide frequent evening, off-shift, and weekend study support.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA/Associates in Biological Sciences or related field
- 2+ years of laboratory animal research experience
- Strong hands-on experience with murine models and rodent dosing techniques
- Ability to organize and execute studies with minimal supervision
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Willingness to provide frequent evening, off-shift, and weekend study support
Desired Qualifications
- equivalent experience may be considered
- Experience in inflammation, immunology, oncology, or other preclinical disease models
- Knowledge of USDA, animal welfare, and AAALAC guidelines
- Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
- GraphPad Prism and PowerPoint
