Job Summary
Research Associate II to design and execute medium-to-high-throughput drug screening assays for testing tumor kill and pharmacodynamic effects using Incucyte, characterize assay samples for proteomics, RNA, DNA and epigenetic changes, collaborate with a computational team to interpret multi-omics data and drive biomarker strategy for clinical trials, build and maintain a biobank of primary tumor tissues and cell lines, and perform routine cellular and molecular biology techniques (cell culture, transfection, nucleic acid extraction, PCR/qPCR, Western blotting, immunostaining). The role includes inventory and vendor coordination, data management via Benchling/LIMS, and contributing to reports/publications for clinical trials and FDA documents. On-site in Manhattan, NY.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. in Biology, Molecular Biology, Genomics, or related field
- 3–5 years of hands-on oncology research or industry laboratory experience
- Strong expertise in cell culture of human cancer cell lines; primary tumor tissue handling
- Experience with drug functional assays for small molecules and antibody therapeutics
- Familiarity with flow cytometry and/or immunohistochemistry in FFPE preferred
- Proficiency with genomic assays (RNAseq, DNAseq, ChIP) and CRISPR, preferred
