Job Summary
Research Associate II at IQVIA Laboratories will perform hands-on molecular biology laboratory work to support antibody discovery and library validation, including PCR, restriction digests, cloning support, and immunoassay workflows. The role involves preparing samples and buffers, executing analytical procedures under regulatory guidelines, maintaining compliant records, analyzing data to ensure procedures meet expectations, identifying potential quality issues, and contributing to process improvements to enhance data quality and reduce turnaround time. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology or biochemistry (or Master’s) with hands-on PCR and wet-lab experience, strong attention to detail, good organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work under moderate supervision. The position offers exposure to ELN/LIMS data uploads, equipment calibration support, and a pathway to contribute to both research and documentation within a collaborative team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field is required; Bachelor’s Degree plus 2-3 years of related experience in method development or specific methodology area or a Master’s degree; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Required hands-on experience performing PCR
- Required experience with restriction digests and general wet-lab techniques, including experience conducting independent research
- Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, compliant documentation and deliver quality data to timelines
- Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Clear communication and collaboration skills with the ability to learn new techniques and contribute to technical discussions
