Job Summary

Conduct intermediate to advanced laboratory testing for cell culture studies, including cryopreservation, thawing, expanding, and banking mammalian and specialized cell lines. Optimize cell culture experiments across batch, fed-batch, and perfusion modes, scaling cultures from flasks to benchtop bioreactors while monitoring growth viability using analytical tools like Vi Cell Cedex. Independently perform analytical testing, troubleshoot routine technical issues, and prepare detailed technical reports to present results to the project team. Develop and maintain SOPs, manage inventory systems, and forecast consumable needs to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. Train and mentor junior staff on laboratory standards and best practices while championing safety across cell culture operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or a related field
  • 3 years of relevant laboratory experience
  • prior cell culture experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in laboratory techniques and biopharma processes
  • Experience troubleshooting problems, optimizing procedures and ensuring best practices
  • Demonstrates consistent professional maturity including emotional intelligence and adaptability
  • Excellent English Language written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office software including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Adobe
  • Ability to ensure compliance with detailed instructions and protocols
  • Ability to maintain exceptional organizational systems with attention to detail consistently ensuring data integrity, regulatory compliance and quality standards
  • Ability to ensure cross functional collaboration while maintaining independent accountability, managing multiple projects with minimal oversight, coordinating with team members to achieve laboratory objectives and mentoring junior staff on technical and procedural standards
