Job Summary

Independently plan, optimize, and execute robust analytical assays to characterize genetically edited porcine cells and animals. Utilize flow cytometry, ELISA, and PCR for routine testing of primary cells and factors while proactively monitoring critical reagent inventory to maintain continuous workflow. Identify assay anomalies, conduct root-cause analyses, and partner with QC to lead internal technology transfers. Optimize laboratory resources through disciplined sample batching and consistently document procedures in electronic lab notebooks. Contribute to multiple research projects within our fast-paced environment focused on developing human-compatible engineered organs.

Required Qualifications

  • B.Sc with at least 4 years of industry experience in cell biology, immunology, biomedical engineering or related discipline
  • Prior experience in development, troubleshooting and routine execution of assays to characterize and measure transgene expression and potency, using a variety of methodologies, particularly flow cytometry and ELISA
  • Proficiency in growing and maintaining mammalian primary cells/cell lines in culture and aseptic cell culture techniques
  • Expertise in general cellular and molecular biology techniques, including ELISA, flow cytometry (FACS), and potency assays
  • Demonstrated ability to self-manage daily schedules, independently prioritize tasks across multiple concurrent projects, and adapt efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record of optimizing lab efficiency, including sample batching, material resource management, and proactive inventory tracking systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams
