Job Summary
Research Associate supports the laboratory of Dr. Xue Han to investigate immune checkpoint pathways (PD-1H/VISTA) and tumor immunology. Duties include planning, executing, and analyzing lab studies using molecular biology, flow cytometry, tissue culture, PCR, and immunohistochemistry; collecting and interpreting immunology/cancer biology datasets; developing and optimizing methodologies; literature reviews in tumor immunology, immune checkpoints, AML, glioma, and immunotherapy; contributing to manuscripts, grant proposals, and research presentations; ensuring lab safety/compliance; daily lab operations including equipment maintenance, ordering supplies, and training staff or students; and performing additional duties to support ongoing research needs in the Han Lab.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in biological or health sciences or equivalent experience
- Ability to translate and apply academic knowledge in biological/health science research
- Experience in a research capacity preferred
- Strong analytical and communication skills
