Job Summary

Conduct research and evaluation projects by recruiting subjects, refining data protocols, and collecting data while tracking activities and reporting findings. Assist with proposal writing, literature reviews, and disseminating findings to diverse audiences. Facilitate communication with external partners, manage logistical arrangements, and handle administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings and ordering supplies. Travel within the service area for field assignments during work hours. Requires a Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, or gerontology, two years of applied gerontology experience, proficiency in SPSS, and a valid Ohio driver's license. This part-time, grant-funded role operates 20 hours per week with funding secured through May 2027.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, gerontology or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with basic research methods
  • Proficient in database management and statistical analysis software such as SPSS
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Current valid Ohio driver's license
  • Automobile insurance
  • Access to personal transportation
  • Minimum of two years of experience in an applied gerontology or related field of research
  • Ability to uphold the stress of traveling
  • Regular, predictable attendance
  • Ability to work in a confined area
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time
