Job Summary
Research Assistant role supporting national-scale credit ratings in Brazil. Responsibilities include conducting research with traditional and AI-supported tools to prepare documents and presentations for rating committees, supporting Senior Analysts across multiple sectors, collecting/validating/analyzing financial, technical, and operational data, maintaining internal databases and analytical tools, leveraging automation-enabled templates, starting with simpler transactions to build credit understanding, collaborating to publish thought-leadership articles, ensuring quality and compliance, maintaining strong relationships, and demonstrating attention to detail, time management, adaptability, and curiosity. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, strong data proficiency, willingness to learn AI-enabled research methods and data tools, proficiency in MS Office and databases, and fluency in English and Portuguese. In-office requirement: work from the office at least 2 days/week. Location: Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of financial statement analysis
- Ability to quickly absorb, analyze, and act on information with strong data proficiency
- Openness to learning AI-enabled research methods, automation tools, and data-driven analytical techniques
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized, able to multitask, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database applications
- Fluency in English and Portuguese (Spanish is a plus)
- 0–1+ years of experience in analytical, financial, or research-oriented work
- Ability to determine a course of action based on clear guidelines
