Job Summary
Temporary Research Assistant role supporting the Music-induced Analgesia Genome Study (IMAGS) at WPI, assisting in the refinement, testing, and assembly of wearable galvanic skin response (GSR) sensing devices. Responsibilities include developing ruggedized sensor hardware for research and field deployment, designing, prototyping, and evaluating enclosures and wearable form factors for physiological sensing technologies, exploring glove-based sensor systems, conducting hardware testing and quality assurance, documenting design decisions and testing results, assisting with software configuration and data collection workflows, and collaborating with faculty investigators to meet project milestones.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in a degree program in Music Technology, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Design, or a related field
