Job Summary
Research Assistant/Microbiologist to develop, maintain and test existing and new databases and tools, and provide ad hoc assistance in microbial/bioinformatic investigations. Role involves classical microbiology and database curation, with emphasis on microbial genomic and metagenomic analyses, and applying bioinformatics methods to infectious disease-related pathogens (including antimicrobial resistance). Affiliated with the Genomic Epidemiology Research Group; DTU emphasizes professionalism, skills development, and an international environment. Requires a master’s degree in engineering or equivalent. Flexible, part-time position based in Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark; salary to be agreed under the collective agreement.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in engineering or equivalent
- Experience in microbial genomic and metagenomic analyses
- Experience in laboratory-based microbiology
- Experience with infectious diseases, including antimicrobial resistance
