Research Assistant in Microbiology - DTU Food

Research Assistant in bioinformatics to develop and maintain tools and pipelines for genomic analyses of bacterial, viral, fungal and parasitic genomes; work on classical bioinformatics methods such as sequence alignment and phylogenetic analyses and modern machine-learning approaches including biological language models; affiliated with the Genomic Epidemiology Research Group at the DTU National Food Institute; requires Python, Unix, microbial genomics, and machine/deep learning expertise, plus knowledge of metagenomic analyses; 3-year full-time position starting 2026-08-01 (or mutually agreed); DTU emphasizes an international, collaborative environment.
