Research Assistant in Healthy Aging

Job Summary
Assist in grant-funded research studies focused on healthy aging by recruiting and screening older participants, collecting data, and performing quality checks on neuroimaging data under supervision. Utilize REDCap for confidential data management, coordinate referrals to the Falls Prevention Clinic, and create schedules. Maintain and organize data files, liaise with participants to build positive relationships, and conduct monthly telephone follow-ups to ensure timely data collection. Support lab management tasks (inventory tracking, supplies ordering, invoicing, filing receipts, organizational duties) and contribute to intervention classes and knowledge-dissemination activities. Contribute to literature searches and manuscript preparation by verifying data accuracy, and assist in delivering educational seminars and public talks. Requires strong attention to detail, ability to work both independently and within a team, excellent communication skills, and adherence to public health and institutional guidance on risk management (including COVID-19). The position is based at UBC Vancouver Campus, with in-person work on health authority sites in BC.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduation and a minimum one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Demonstrates a commitment to enhancing one’s own awareness, knowledge, and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion
- Must be able to work in-person on health authority sites under current BC Public Health Orders.
