Research Assistant in Chemistry, Materials Science and Characterization - DTU Construct

Job Summary
Support ongoing research activities through laboratory work, materials preparation, and characterization of polymeric systems using techniques such as spectroscopy, microscopy, and thermal analysis. Prepare and process material formulations, optimize experimental procedures, and maintain laboratory workflows while collecting and analyzing experimental data. Contribute to day-to-day research projects in collaboration with team members. This part-time role (15 hours/week for 6 months) begins December 2026 at DTU, a leading technical university focused on sustainable technological development and building processes.
Required Qualifications
- background in chemistry, materials science, or chemical engineering
- hands-on laboratory experience
- comfortable working experimentally
- interest in materials synthesis, processing, and characterization
- ability to work in a structured, careful, and independent manner
- motivated, reliable, and able to collaborate in a research environment
- good communication skills in English
- strong scientific writing skills
- experience with research documentation
- master's degree in engineering or equivalent
