Job Summary
Conduct molecular biology, cell culture, and biochemical experiments related to cancer metabolism and tumor immunology. Maintain and genotype genetically engineered mouse models while performing histology, immunohistochemistry, and tissue processing. Support CRISPR/Cas9 and functional genomics studies under direct supervision, collecting, analyzing, and documenting experimental data for team presentations. Manage laboratory inventory, order supplies, and ensure compliance with biosafety protocols and institutional guidelines. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a biological science with two years of scientific experience; hourly pay ranges from $18.00 to $21.00.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cancer Biology, or a related scientific discipline
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a scientific role (for candidates with a Bachelor's degree in a different discipline)
- Willingness to work with bacteria, human cells, stem cells, and viral vectors
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office
Desired Qualifications
- Prior laboratory experience through coursework, internships, or research assistant positions
- Experience with mouse handling, tissue culture, molecular biology, or histology techniques
- Basic understanding of cancer biology, metabolism, immunology, or genomics research
