Job Summary
Research Assistant I provides direct support to Clinical Research Coordinators in the completion of protocol-specific study goals while adhering to ICH, GCP, protocol, and site guidelines. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining patient charts, preparing participant visits with source documents and lab kits, filing lab results and communications in patient charts, maintaining study supplies inventory, timely data entry and CRF query resolution, conducting assessments (e.g., blood pressure, urine collection), coordinating communications with participants, caregivers, labs and vendors, assisting Coordinators with scheduling and clerical tasks, and aiding in study-monitoring visits. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work onsite in Gaithersburg, MD are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Excellent computer skills and advanced knowledge of electronic equipment
- Skilled in organization and record maintenance
- Skilled in developing and maintaining effective working relationships with supervisors and co-workers
- Strong personal initiative and attention to detail
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures
- Ability to clearly communicate both orally and verbally
