Job Summary

Support research through data retrieval, analysis, and literature reviews of national and international publications. Edit and draft scholarly papers, articles, and op-eds for both academic and general audiences. Monitor federal and state health policy changes, track emerging healthcare markets, and summarize selected reports. Create and format charts, graphic displays, and tables. Provide administrative support, coordinate public and private events, and draft the monthly health policy newsletter, Vital Signs. This full-time, in-person role at AEI requires a Bachelor's degree in economics, public policy, or related fields, proficiency in Excel, and 0–2 years of experience.

Required Qualifications

  • 0 – 2 years of previous applicable full-time work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in economics, public health, public policy, political science, or a related field
  • Demonstrated interest in health policy, including past research or academic experiences
  • Proficiency in Excel

Desired Qualifications

  • previous internship experience
  • proficiency in Stata and R
  • An understanding of federal healthcare programs (e.g., Medicare and Medicaid) and policymaking processes
